Objective:

Join our calligraphy workshop instructed by a special guest artist, Seiran Chiba from Japan. This workshop offers a lecture and hands-on experience in “Shodo-the way of writing”, creating a beautiful writing of “JAKU” 寂 Tranquility, on a shikishi board. She will also demonstrate her calligraphy on a hanging scroll.

About Seiran Chiba:

Seiran Chiba is a Japanese calligrapher who lives in Fukushima, Japan. She has expressed her passion and energy through her large-scale calligraphy. This has been demonstrated during Anderson Japanese Garden’s annual Japanese Summer Festival.

Space is limited. Pre-registration is required. (20 max per class) Materials included in registration. Cancellation must be made at least 4 days in advance.
