Breathing for the Vets
Saturday, August 7 | 8:00 AM & 9:30 AM | Pavilion
Twenty-two veterans commit suicide each DAY in the United States. Studies reveal that the main culprit behind this is a desire to end intense emotional distress and post-traumatic stress disorder a cause of this distress. It’s been shown that meditation, the act of calming the mind and body, helps with reducing emotional distress and the effects of PTSD.
Breathing for Vets is a class on different breathing techniques which are a form of meditation. Class will take place inside Anderson Japanese Gardens, a setting which is sure to touch your soul.
Please consider showing up to support our veterans and learn meditation through ancient breathing techniques. We can’t avoid the stress of daily life, however we can develop healthier ways to respond to it.
