Amanda Stivers Yoga

Classes are taught in the Hatha Yoga tradition, where asanas (yoga poses) will be held for several breaths, allowing students to tune into the sensations of the breath and body, as each pose is practiced and refined, mindfully and safely, at their own pace.

Through Amanda’s encouraging guidance, participants will learn a variety of yoga poses, breathing techniques, and meditation practices. You can expect a fun, challenging, and ever-changing class. Each class will stretch and strengthen the body, build better balance, bringing better focus and flexibility.

Attending Amanda’s yoga classes will leave you feeling calm, grounded, energized, and ready to face your day. Students should bring their own yoga mat, yoga strap, and yoga blocks.

Amanda Stivers Gentle Chair Yoga

Enjoy and experience the many benefits of yoga with the stability and support of a chair. This gentle form of yoga is designed for those with coordination and balance limitations, limited range of motion, and who may find a traditional yoga class format challenging.

Through Amanda‘s encouraging guidance, participants will learn a variety of yoga poses, breathing techniques, and meditation practices. These practices will stretch and strengthen the body, build better balance, and bring better focus, flexibility, and mental clarity.

Attending this class will leave you feeling calm, grounded, energized, and ready to face your day! Students are always encouraged to practice at their own pace.

Students should bring a yoga mat.

Pure Light Yoga

Learn a variety of poses and sequences to gain flexibility and strength in a beautiful, peaceful environment. Proper breathing and relaxation will strengthen your body, calm your mind and is essential to good health.  Wear comfortable, loose-fitting clothing. Students should bring water, a towel/ yoga mat, yoga strap and yoga blocks.  Do not start yoga if you are pregnant. Please pre-register with Stephanie.

N’Spired Yoga

Class Instructor:  Nancy Enke has taught Yoga in Rockford for twenty-two years. She is an Experienced Registered Yoga Teacher (E- RYT 500) and the founder and owner of N’Spired Yoga since 2013. With gratitude and joy, she begins her fifteenth season of teaching yoga at Anderson Japanese Gardens.

Class Description: This class is a gentle one hour practice designed to increase strength and flexibility throughout the body. As we take advantage of the beauty in Anderson Japanese Gardens we will focus on being in the present moment, through breath, intention, and yoga postures. If you have the desire to move with ease, while finding balance, serenity, and gratitude, this class will assist you on your journey. You will leave feeling refreshed, relaxed, and ready for your day ahead. 

Please bring water and a yoga mat.
