The Garden Is Open

The 2016 Season officially begins today! The blooms are beautiful and the koi are jumping. We will be open 9:00 AM -6:00 PM. Admission is free for Garden members and $8 for adults, $7 for seniors (62+) and $6 for students. Children 5 and under are free. We look forward to seeing you!

Flower Viewing Tea Ceremony & Sweet Making Workshop

Anderson Japanese Gardens will host tea gatherings this weekend, Saturday, April 23rd & Sunday, April 24th. Both dates will feature a traditional Japanese Flower Viewing (Hanami Chakai) Tea Ceremony and provide a hands-on lesson focused on proper tea serving procedures and guest etiquette. Sunday’s gathering will also feature a lesson on making Japanese sweets (Wagashi). Two Sustainable Horticulture Events this week

Help us welcome Corey Welles, Plant Healthcare Coordinator at Ganna Walska Lotusland in Santa Barbara, CA. Corey will present his lecture, Lotusland’s Sustainable Horticulture, on Thursday, April 21 at 7:00 PM. Corey will then lead a Garden Walk on Friday, April 22 at 9 AM discussing Sustainable Horticultural topics as they relate to Anderson Japanese Gardens. Don’t miss it!

Spring is Here!

The Garden has officially come alive. Due to the warm weather, we will be opening for the 2016 Season on Friday, April 29. We hope you can help us usher in the new season a bit early!
