Garden Explorers July 30

It was a fun and interactive morning at Garden Explorers yesterday as Steve Shannon, Morning Host at 97.5 ZOK, and local artist Karla Lombardo were on hand to lead a fun program all about art! Students listened to stories and then teamed up to contribute their own flair to a group painting!

Summer Tea Gatherings This Weekend

We are looking forward to hosting the Japanese Summer Tea Gatherings this Saturday, July 25 & Sunday, July 26. Both days will feature a traditional Japanese tea ceremony, with Sunday offering a tea sweets making demonstration. The gatherings will showcase a hands-on lesson focused on proper tea serving procedures and guest etiquette. All tea ceremony time frames are fully occupied. For more information, please click here.

Rockford Symphony Orchestra – Symphony Saturdays in the Garden

Join us this Saturday, July 11, for RSO’s Symphony Saturdays featuring “Wonderful Woodwinds.” The program is a four-part series of music experiences for children ages five to ten and their parents. The program introduces students to the Symphony Orchestra through ensembles representing each of the four sections of the orchestra. The session will be led by an ensemble of RSO musicians and is followed by a hands-on activity reinforcing the experience. Students must be accompanied by a guardian.

Sound Is All Around at Garden Explorers Tomorrow

Perk up your ears and listen to stories all about sound at tomorrow’s Garden Explorers. We’ll turn up the volume for some loud songs and bring it back down for quiet tales. Children and their guardians will explore different sounds and create a sound sandwich to take home. The fun all begins at 9 am!
