Brief Garden Update

The lilacs are in full, fragrant bloom! They will greet you as you enter the Visitor Center. Also, due to some tree trimming going on in the Gardens today, some paths will be temporarily closed to visitors. We are sorry for any inconvenience this may cause.

The Rain Stayed Away

Thank you to everyone who attended the first Tuesday Evening in the Gardens event last night (5/27). It rained for less than 5 minutes right before showtime, and the storms held off until after the concert was over. Our policy is to go ahead with the concert if there is light rain. Tuesday Evening in the Gardens Starts May 27

Join us on Tuesday, May 27 as we kick off the new season of Tuesday Evening in the Gardens, a summertime music series held outdoors in the Gardens on Tuesday evenings through August 26. We will begin the season with a returning favorite band, Starlite Radio. Admission for adults is $5 and teens are $3; children 12 and under are free. Admission for Garden Members is always free. Welcome Back!

After a long and harsh winter, the Gardens re-opened on May 1. As we feared, we found some of our plants and trees did not survive the deep freeze. However, for the most part, the Gardens look just as they should in the springtime, and our amazing Garden staff is working hard to replace the plants that didn’t make it.
